A German expert working at Al-Jumhuri Hospial in Sa’ada along with his wife, five children and two British friends have gone missing in Sada’a governorate, some 240 kilometers north-west of the capital Sana’a.
According to official sources in Sada’a, the group went missing in mysterious conditions since Friday. However, on Sunday, the government blamed Houthi militants for the kidnapping, while Houthi media office denied any responsibility.
The source added that security authorities in the governorate started a search process but they still are far from concrete infomration about their wherabouts.
The accident comes one day after tribesmen kidnapped 24 foreign and Yemeni doctors, working for the Saudi hospital in Saada and were freed a day later after tribal meditations.
