Two people including a medic were killed and around 18 others injured in explosions and clashes at the military hospital compound in Yemen's western province of Hodeida on Saturday, local security officials said.
The Saba news agency, which is run by the Houthi militants in the capital Sanaa, reported that gunmen threw bombs at public facilities including the military hospital and the post office in the province.
The report did not give details.
In recent months, sporadic clashes between the popular resistance and the Houthi militants and other events including attacks on Houthi patrols were reported in the province.
Separately, the battles between the pro-government forces and the Houthi militants continued in the provinces of Dhali and Taiz Saturday.
In Dhali, sources within the popular resistance said the battles intensified in the district of Morais as the militants were seeking to retake key parts of the province.
The militants have retreated from positions they seized in recent days, they said.
Dhali was the first southern provide retaken from the militants in May.
In Taiz, the battles resumed in key parts after the Houthis advanced on the pro-government forces and provincial resistance retaking some positions in the past 24 hours.
The militants took control the Misrakh, Nagd Qusaim and other areas on the mountain of Sabir, locals said.
The Saudi-led coalition struck Houthi forces killing some of them and destroying two tanks in Taiz, the sources said.
The coalition has been bombing the Houthis since March. Lately, it deployed reinforcements including Sudanese troops and tens of tanks to support the pro-government forces to retake Taiz.
Today, it carried out fresh airstrikes in the province of Jawf and the capital Sanaa, Houthi media said.
