Turkey Ambassador to Yemen, Fazli Corman announced at a meeting on Monday with Yemen Minister for Health and Population his country will extend its medical grant to the impoverished nation by covering the costs of one hundred medical treatment cases to Yemenis inTurkey.
Back in October 2012, Yemen and Turkey signed a number of cooperation agreements win the presence of Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and Turkey Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu asserting both nations friendly ties and determination to wirk together at building a stronger Yemen for a stronger region.
Although a long-standing ally of Yemen, Turkey had ever since 2011 revolution made a point to support Sana'a in all its endeavors, having pledged millions of dollars in aid to its reconstruction and stabilization of its institutions as well as lifted all visa restrictions for its citizens.
Minister al-Ansi hailed Turkey's efforts in supporting Yemen's helath sector, noting Yemeni students will greatly benefit from such scholarships, bringing back home valuable expertise.
For his part, Ambassador Corman said Turkey's decision to increase its aid came "in the framework of strengthening the Yemen-Turkish relations in all areas, including the joint investments in medicine industries."
