prior day, the Yemeni official agency Saba reported.
Deputy Marib governor and other Yemeni officials visited the damage site and confirmed technical teams from the Safer Exploration and Production Operations Company have already started the repair work, it said.
The 320-km pipeline carries natural gas from Block 18 in the Safer oilfield to the Balhaf LNG terminal.
Yemen LNG said in a statement late on Tuesday the pipeline had suffered an act of sabotage but did not say whether pumping was halted.
The explosion occurred about three weeks after resuming LNG exports following an attack on the pipeline in September.
The pipeline has been repeatedly attacked this year affecting the operations of Total-led Yemen LNG project in Shabwa province.
The French Total Group is the main shareholder in the Yemeni LNG project with a 39.62%. Its partners include Yemeni, US and Korean companies.
Lately, the Yemeni government held talks with Total and Suez and reached an agreement to improve the prices of the Yemeni LNG, mainly through LNG diversions from the north American market to east Asian markets.
Yemen LNG signed long-term contracts with the two French companies and Kogas on Yemeni LNG sales.
Still, Yemen is seeking reconsideration of the Kogas contract, which MPs, concerned authorities including the national anti-corruption commission and the public have demanded to cancel because the prices of the Yemeni LNG under it were set cheap.
