A blast rocked on Sunday night the First Armored Division headquarters located in the Yemeni capital of Sana'a, and is the defected army headquarters, which is commanded by dissident Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.
Local residents of the area confirmed to Yemen Post that a powerful explosion was heard Sunday night from the First Armored Division headquarters.
As of yet, the reason for the explosion is not known and whether there were any accounts of causalities.
The residents of the area said that the explosion created a state of panic among the residents of the area as the people did not know what or from where was the source of explosion.
Last week, a similar explosion occurred at the First Armored Division, however details about the blast was not released so far. The officials in the brigade only said that no causalities had fallen, declining to provide further details.
