Pumping crude oil from Marib province to the Ras Isa terminal in Hodeida province has been halted after saboteurs from the JMP bombed the Marib oil pipeline, Saba reported on Tuesday.
The saboteurs attacked the pipeline with an explosive device in Al-Irqain area and the security is now hunting those behind the bombing, who are believed to be involved in previous attacks on the pipeline, it said.
The agency also said that the attack came after saboteurs from the opposition bloc, the JMP, attacked the power towers on Sana'a-Marib road sending the Marib gas-fired power station out of service and plunging several cities including the capital Sana'a in long blackouts.
The 272 miles Marib oil pipeline has been attacked several times in the past few months; just after it had been repaired following a March attack that contributed to the acute fuel crisis in the country.
