The Joint Meeting Parties, the opposition bloc in Yemen, said during the meeting with the envoy of the UN Secretary General, Jamal bin Omar, that an orderly transfer of power remains the condition for any dialogue with the regime.
Bin Omar arrived in Yemen days ago to push peaceful efforts to tackle the Yemeni crisis that has deepened amid severe crises and persistent unrest.
He is trying to convince the Yemeni political parties to come back to the dialogue table under guarantees from the EU, the UN Security Council and the GCC.
Opposition officials said the meeting with bin Omar had nothing new and that the oppositions position is firm: no dialogue except after Saleh transfers power.
Earlier, bin Omar called on all Yemeni parties and forces to hold a constructive dialogue that should gather all and work together to provide a good environment to lift their country out of the current crisis.
While in the country, he has met with vice president Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi and officials in the opposition including sheikhs Sadeq and Hamid Al-Ahmer.
At their meeting, Sheikh Sadeq Al-Ahmer criticized international position towards the situation in Yemen, warning of repeating the Libyan scenario, in case the international community does not take a better action here.
