A citizen was killed and three others injured when the republican guard continued shelling the district of Arhab on the outskirts of Yemen's capital Sana'a on Saturday.
Local sources said the republican guard brigade 61 heavily shelled the village of Al-Obowa with artilleries and Katyusha rockets leading to the casualties and destroying homes and properties.
The shelling started early Saturday and lasted till noon coinciding with other attacks on the district of Nehm by republican guard camps there.
At least 30 civilians have been killed and more than 80 others injured since the military operations started in Arhab two months ago. Many homes were partially and completely destroyed and thousands of families have been displaced.
In the past few days, republican guard camps were said to have targeted farms and water wells making the situation further difficult in the area suffering from acute shortages.
