A U.S. congressional delegation is due to arrive in Yemen in the next period, U.S. ambassador to the country has said.

At a press conference held at the U.S. embassy in Sana'a on Wednesday, Gerald M. Feierstein said the delegation will comprise of congressmen who aim to explore the democratic landscape in Yemen.

They will meet with Yemeni MPs and discuss issues including ways to strengthen Yemeni-U.S. cooperation and ways to support the democratic experience in Yemen, he said.
