Yemen's government said that it urgently needs to receive financial aid pledged by international donors to fight poverty and unemployment, official media reported.
According to the same sources the government said it would focus on ways to foster development in Yemen through the oil and gas industries, and on attracting investors to these industries in Yemen.
"The government hopes that by inviting countries to explore new blocks and lifting taxes and restrictions to exploration, the oil, gas, and minerals industries in Yemen will continue to grow, and to foster wider development throughout the country," the sources said in statement.
The government is aiming to curb unemployment and reduce poverty which afflicts 40 percent of Yemenis, the sources said.
