The French President Nicolas Sarkozy, renewed the French support to the unity, security and stability of Yemen. As well as the French support for the development process in Yemen in all fields, a government source reported.
That was in the letter received by president Ali Abdullah Saleh today on bilateral relations between Yemen and France and ways of enhancing them in various fields.
At the same time, Sarkozy praised the distinguished bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy that made France the first investor in Yemen through the completion of a project for liquefying and exporting gas (YLNG) which forms a main source to the development and would enable Yemen to enter the group of the major countries of exporting the natural gas.
As well as, in his letter, Sarkozy mentioned the fields of security cooperation between Yemen and France and enhancing them, especially in the training of Navy and Coast Guards in the framework of international partnership to combat piracy.
Sarkozy welcomed the impending visit of president Saleh to France for discussing the topics of interest to both countries that may expand the bilateral cooperation in all fields and reflect the strong relations between Yemen and France.
