Police in Yemen's western Taiz province have found the bodies of two soldiers thrown near a hotel at Al-Mughtaribeen Street, almotamar.net reported on Wednesday.
Preliminary information revealed that Muhammad Hamid Abdul Jabar, 43, and Anwar Saeed Muhammad Ali, 37, were guards of the Central Prison in the city.
Abdul Jabar was shot in his neck and Ali got shots in his shoulder and neck, according to the website, and the information also noted that the two were taking an inmate to hospital when they were killed. But no further details on the inmate were provided.
The information also said that a conflict took place in the area with a third man left injured.
The killer is still unidentified.
The two bodies were transported to Al-Thawra Hospital and an investigation was launched.
