Amid expectations peace comes at any moment after the Houthi accepted the truce conditions and the government accepted that the Houthi be part of committees to implement them, official sources with knowledge about the new with the situation said that post-war committees are taking shape.
The September net citing sources familiar with the matter reported on Thursday that the committees include a committee from Parliament and Shura Council to oversee implementing the conditions in the reality and a committee to tackle the impacts of the war in Saada and a third committee to contribute to arrangements for bringing peace into the region.
The committees will assume their tasks, once the military operations are halted, the sources said.
They will supervise reopening roads, Houthi withdrawal from their positions, the return of the displaced and releasing those who were arrested in connection with the rebellion.
The committee on dealing with the consequences of the war socially will focus on establishing general reconciliation to prevent revenge or attacks and assessing material losses and counting them in various areas with the aim to help how to rebuild the ravaged areas.
The announcement comes a day after new Saada governor Taha Hajir embarked on his position.
On Tuesday, a Yemeni official said that a deal to end the war with the Houthi rebels who have fought the authorities since 2004 was close.
The security source said the government and the rebels have recently been exchanging views and proposals for a final deal to end the conflict that donors urged Sana'a to reach compromise for to give aid to the country.
The announcement came days after the government set a timetable for ending the military operations that starts when the rebels start implementing the six truce conditions announced by the government.
'We handed the rebels through mediators our terms including the timetable and mechanism to implement the conditions,' officials said.
Fresh confrontations between the army and the insurgents started in mid-August 2009, displacing tens of thousands of the people in Saada and costing the country dearly.
