An Eritrean opposition leader accused Iran of using the Eritrean territories as a base for transferring arms to Houthi elements in Yemen on Sunday.
Basher Esheq, an official in the Eritrean Democratic Alliance, told AFP in an interview that the Houthi rebels receive weapons from Iran through Eritrea; which is located close to the Yemeni-Saudi Arabian Western cities.
Basher added that the Iranian weapons arrive to Eritrea's coastal towns, particularly Assab City then Houthis deliver those weapons at night to Yemen.
Yemen accuses Iranian religious references of backing Houthis with weapons; in related news, Yemen proclaimed on the end of October the arrest of Iranian boatload of weapons were expected to destine for Houthis.
For its part, the Iranian authorities deny that.
Hundreds of people have been killed or wounded in the clashes, and over 150000 people have become displaced who are in need for basic life commodities.
However, more than 65000 students were not allowed to go to their schools due to the war. The students with their families are currently living in camps.
