A huge fire ravaged early Tuesday the headquarters of the Ruling Party in Yemen's southern province of Lahj as the south is said to have prepared for a new wave of protesting, the News Yemen reported.
No casualties were reported as there was nobody inside the building.
Eyewitnesses said they saw smoke billowing in the sky, adding the blaze gutted all the building.
The website said the authorities had declined to comment, but an investigation was said launched into the blaze.
Lahj is one of Yemen's southern provinces which have seen riots this year with protests turning violent when protectors chanted anti-unity slogans and demanded solutions to standing problems in the south.
Fatalities were reported and mass arrests took place. Damages were also reported in many cities as clashes erupted between the fans of the anti-government southern movement and the security forces.
Over the last days, Dhale province saw some protests coinciding with the revaluation celebrations.
Few deaths and injuries were reported and some arrests were made.
