The police in Yemen's western province of Hodeida have arrested a car that was carrying Houthi rebels and weapons near the city of Bajil.
The people at the Jabal Al-Haij alerted the police about the car after rumors surfaced armed rebels were infiltrating into the area.
The arrested showed no resistance to their arrests, handing themselves and the car peacefully to the police.
No official comments on the seizure were made.
On the other hand, Bajil saw clashes between the security forces and gunmen who were inside a Toyota Hilux car in which a citizen was injured. The subversives, believed to be traffickers, ran away.
In Saada, 16 more rebels have been arrested as the army continued to comb farms and positions of the Houthi rebels, who have been fighting the troops in north Yemen since 2004, in Yemen's restive city of Saada.
Hundreds of the insurgents were killed and arrested and others were surrendering since the army launched an offensive against them in August.
