Ten people were killed in Al-Jawf governorate in conflict between two groups who presented Al-Houthi followers, who belongs to Shiite doctrine, and Islah party who belongs to Sunni doctrine in the governorate.
Local sources said that the cause of the conflict between them refers to attempt each group to take control of Zine Al-Abidin mosque in Zahra district.
The fighting among them began when one of Al-Houthi followers attacked the mosque, killing 3 Islah members in order to control it.
Also, the fighting erupted when some of Al-Houthi followers killed 2 people of the other group, while they came to the district to offer condolence.
Meanwhile, 5 Houthi followers were killed in clashes among the two groups. Mediations between both sides continue to halt the fighting among them.
On the other hand, lately Yemeni authorities arrested 30 people and closed a mosque in Ibb Governorate after clashes between two groups who presented Salafis stream and Islah party in the governorate.
Each group insisted to have its own Imam to pray after him, as both sides refused the other’s Imam. In that moment the two groups started the conflict among them which worsens when one of the people stabbed another with his Jambia (Dagger).
