The General Investment Authority is to organize on March 24-25 a promotion symposium on investment in Yemen with the theme "Trade and Investment Symposium."
Chairman of the authority Salah Al-Attar said the goal of the symposium is to introduce Dutch businessmen and investors to investment opportunities in Yemen and hold meetings with them to discuss the possibility of establishing Yemeni-Dutch projects in various sectors.
He said the event comes to take advantage of a memorandum of understanding signed by the two countries in 2004 on encouraging investors in the Netherlands to have joint ventures with their Yemeni counterparts.
A delegation which will include officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, the Board for Survey and Minerals and the Oil and Gas Exports Development Council along with a number of Yemeni businessmen and businesswomen will be assigned for the symposium.
