The Houthi forces fired a ballistic missile on the Al-Anad military base in the province of Lahj in south Yemen on Saturday, the Saba news agency reported.
The Tochka missile hit the target precisely killing and injuring Yemeni and Arab troops and destroying a lot of tanks and armored
vehicles, it said.
The Saudi-led coalition, which has been bombing Yemen since March 2014, has deployed thousands of Arab troops into Yemen to secure the southern regions liberated from the Houthi militants and to back the government forces in their battles against the Houthis in other regions.
Lately, forces and equipment were deployed to the base to provide direct support to the offensive against the Houthis in the province of Taiz.
On the other hand, the agency reported that the Houthi missile force targeted five military boats of the Saudi-led coalition off Yemen's province of Taiz on Saturday.
Quoting a military source, the agency said the Houthi had fired rockets on the five boats and they are still burning in waters.
The battles between the government and Houthi forces continued inseveral parts of Taiz after the leader of the pro-government popular resistance Hamoud Al-Mikhlafi returned from Aden to lead the battles, local sources said.
