The death toll from misdirected Saudi-led airstrikes on residential areas in Yemen's Taiz city has increased to around 120, medical sources said on Sunday.
The number is expected to increase further as many were injured badly, they said, while adding that dozens were wounded from the strikes in the Mokha town two days ago.
Hundreds of civilians including children have been killed and injured in misdirected airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition in the country.
Many others were killed and injured in explosions of weapons targeted by the coalition in Yemeni cities including the capital Sanaa.
The coalition has been bombing Houthi brigades and weapons since late March.
Organizations also said the coalition has used banned weapons such as cluster bombs in the country.
Today, airstrikes continued in several cities coinciding with persistent confrontations between the pro-government forces and the Houthi militants.
In the past two days, dozens of both sides were killed in fierce battles in southern cities including Lahj, Dhali and Taiz as the pro-government is seeking to drive all Houthis out of cities.
So far, the government forces with support from the coalition has retaken the southern port city of Aden.
Several relief aid cargoes have arrived in Aden and preparations have got underway to alleviate the months-long humanitarian suffering.
According to the government which has been staying in and acting from Saudi Arabia and organizations, the conflict has left 80% of Yemen's population in need of emergency aid.
