The Saudi-led coalition conducted airstrikes against Houthi positions, weapon depots and brigades including camps Houthis seized lately on border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
The airstrikes were reported in the border cities of Hajjah and Saada as well as Aden, Abyan and Marib.
They coincided with ongoing confrontations between the pro-government and pro-Houthi forces in several cities.
The humanitarian situation has largely deteriorated due to the months-long conflict.
The battles following the ouster of the transition government by the Houthi militants a blockade on all sea, land and air ports have left the country to suffer from lacks of fuels and other key supplies especially foodstuffs and medicines.
The blockade was part of the Arab military operation launched against the Houthis in late March.
So far, all efforts including those by the UN have failed to guarantee a ceasefire in order to help around 80% of the population in need of emergency aid.
