The battles between the pro-government forces and the Houthi militants continued in several Yemeni cities including Aden on Tuesday.
Local sources in the port city of Aden said fierce battles have been continuing for three days in the Bir Ahmed and Bir Fadl areas.
Tens of Houthis and forces loyal to the former president have been killed and injured as the popular resistance repelled Houthi attacks and besieged militants in farms on the outskirts of the city.
All weapons including heavy equipment are being used in the battles, they said, while adding the resistance is calling on the militants to surrender.
The battles come as the Houthis are trying to retake areas in Aden.
In the past few weeks, the pro-government resistance beat the Houthis forcing them to leave areas they had seized and then regrouping outside the city.
Battles also continued in Taiz, Jawf, Lahj, Dhali, Marib, Hodeida and Baidha.
According to sources in these cities, the popular resistance fighters advanced on key war fronts and that Houthi militants have been killed and injured.
The Saudi-led Arab coalition backed the pro-government forces through intensifying airstrikes against the Houthi militants and their weapon depots.
In the past few days, it conducted deadly airstrikes in cities including the capital Sanaa where scores of Houthi forces and civilians were killed and injured.
