The government staying in Saudi Arabia revealed on Tuesday that Yemeni factions will hold talks in Geneva in mid-June, agencies reported.
Three main topics will be discussed at the talks including the Houthi adherence to UN resolutions on Yemen especially the resolution No. 2216, reports said.
The resolution called on the Houthis to cede power to the legitimate government, withdraw from cities seized after ousting the transition government and return weapons to the government.
The talks, which were postponed late last month, will be sponsored by the UN.
On Monday, reports from Riyadh affirmed a breakthrough on the post-Houthi takeover crisis was made after the UN envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh held talks with president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi and Houthi officials.
Locally, sources in Jawf province said an airstrike killed and injured 20 pro-government fighters.
The raid targeted the pickup of the victims in the Yatamah district where pro-government and pro-Houthi forces have been fighting for around two weeks, the sources said.
We are not sure who conducted the airstrike which occurred shortly after Saudi-led airstrikes targeted Houthis in the area, they added.
Some sources suspected that a US drone did it.
Separately, a military commander and soldiers loyal to the Houthi militant group were killed in overnight Saudi-led airstrikes against the headquarters of the army's command in downtown the capital city of Sanaa.
On the other hand, Houthi militants shelled populated areas killing 4 civilians and injuring others as confrontations between pro-government fighters and the militants continued in Taiz today, local sources said.
