Three Yemeni soldiers of the Central Security were killed and several others were wounded in a blast that targeted a commander of the Central Security in Al-Mukala of Hadhramout governorate on Sunday, local sources affirmed.
The sources said that violent clashes between soldiers of the Central Security and unknown armed men followed the explosion, pointing out that the situations are still intense, particularly around a military of the Central Security inAl-Mukla.
The Yemeni capital, Sana'a and other major cities witness a state of insecurity as high-ranking security, military and political officials were targeted during the past few months.Security officials said that the authorities foiled many plans to carry out terrorist attacks by al-Qaeda in the capital Sana'a, affirming that seized 40 belts packed with explosives.
Last week, a violent explosion rocked the neighborhood of the Cabinet located in the heart of the capital Sana'a on Tuesday, leaving about ten soldiers and civilians killed and more others were wounded. In the mid of August, armed men attacked the Political Security's building in Aden, killing about 20 soldiers and wounding dozens more.
A number of Yemeni intelligence officers of the political security were killed in Sana'a, Baidha, Aden, Taiz and Hadhramout and other governorates during the few past months.
After the Yemeni government announced its victory in early June, the al-Qaida carried out a suicide bombing various governorates and killed the commander of Yemen's southern military region, Salem Qatan.
