Three foreign Al-Qaeda militants were among those who were killed in an airstrike in Yemen's eastern Hadramout province early on Wednesday, News Yemen reported quoting statements by local security sources.
The authorities are trying to identify the killed militants whose home was raided in the Wadi Ein in Hawra, the officials said, according to the website.
The home was completely destroyed and its owner was identified as a young man named: Murad Yaslim, it added.
The defense ministry's mouthpiece, the September 26 website, said others were injured in the strike which comes amid an ongoing massive hunt for Al-Qaeda operatives across the republic.
The Yemeni army launched in April-May a US-backed offensive and drove Al-Qaeda militants out of their strongholds in Abyan and Shabwa provinces. Hundreds of militants including senior leaders were killed in the offensive.
During the hunt for the remaining militants, tens of suspected militants and cells have been arrested so far in main cities including the capital Sanaa.
