The technical dialogue committee recently appointed by President Abdu Rabou Hadi elected on Monday Abdul-Karim al-Iryani as head, Raqia Humadan and Sultan al-Atwani as deputies, Ahmed Mubark as reporter and Amal al-Basha as spokeswoman.
President Hadi chaired on Sunday a meeting of the committee after two weeks of delay due to differences between political sides that signed the GCC-brokered power transfer deal, and absence of the chief representative of the General People Congress Abdul-Karim Al-Iryani who was abroad.
Hadi had chaired the committee himself to urge it to promptly prepare for the dialogue conference and avoid any disagreements.
Meanwhile, media sources said that the Houthi group mandated two other persons than those who were appointed by Hadi, affirming that Ahmed Sharaf al-Din and Mohammad al-Bokhaiti attended the meeting instead of Mohmmad Abdul-Salam and Saleh Habrah.
Sources said that three pointed members of the committee did not attend the meeting, but they were not named.
A senior leader of the Joint Meeting Parties Mohammad Al-Sabri criticized the replacement of the Houthi group representatives, describing this behavior as a scandal.
President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi issued on July 14 a decree of forming the technical committee of dialogue that included 25 members of Yemen's various political factions.
The decree outlined the committee's duties, the dialogue themes and the expected results and set the September 30th as the deadline for the committee to accomplish its job and deliver its recommendations.
UN Envoy to Yemen Jamal Benomar had affirmed that the dialogue-preparation committee will be tasked with carrying out consultations and preparations to hold the dialogue conference in Next November.
The dialogue conference is an article of the power transfer deal mediated by the GCC states that posed the base to force the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh to cede power.
