Media Secretary of President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi, Yahya Al-Arasi, has escaped on Monday morning an assassination attempt in the capital Sana'a, as armed men shot fire on his car.
Well-informed sources said that Al-Arasi was wounded as his car crashed in al-Khamseen street of Sana'a.
The source affirmed that Al-Arasi was slightly wounded, pointing out that investigations are still ongoing to indentify those who are behind the incident.
The Yemeni capital, Sana'a, along with some Yemeni main cities witness a state of loose security as suicide bombings and target of military locations increased during the few past months.Several Yemeni military and security commanders were killed during the past two months after Al-Qaeda received painful attacks in its main strongholds in Jaar and Zinjibar, and its militants were cleansed from them. "The commander, his son and his driver were injured and admitted to hospital," it said. "They were not seriously injured".In the port city of Aden, the security authorities thwarted on Sunday a bombing attempt near the headquarters of the political security. The authorities discovered an explosive device, which was put at the Mina'a sports club and at the entrance of the political security office, and defused it, according to September 26 website.
