At least ten people were killed and dozens injured when government forces attacked numerous districts in Taiz province on Friday.
Among them killed are three women.
The government shelling is in the areas of Hasb, Moshiqi, Rowdah, Masbah, and downtown Taiz.
Two bombs also exploded near the prayer area in Freedom Square Taiz, while hundreds of thousands of anti government protesters were gathered, medics confirmed.
A medical staff in the square said that the casualties are expected to rise as government attacks continue to only get stronger.
Tens of families started evacuating the province fearing that clashes will only escalate in the days to come.
Abdul Salam Saleh, 8, and Mohammed Abdul Aziz, 3, were children among the killed by a stray bullet, which eyewitnesses confirm were shot by government forces.
More than two million anti government protesters are gathered throughout the country calling for the ouster of President Saleh from power.
Hundreds of thousands of youth protesters are gathered in the weekly Friday march in Taiz calling on international powers to not give President Saleh immunity for the killings of unarmed protesters.
Anti government marches are taking place today in 14 of the country’s 21 provinces.
