The Sana'a International Airport re-opened today following the decision its security team to interrupt its activities and to reroute flight to Aden airport, some 300 kilometers away.
The capital's main airport which is situated on the northern outskirts of the city has been rumored to be a coveted tribal target as the military airport as well as several military bases is in the vicinity.

As videos and images emerged, fighter jets could be seen on fire on the air strip. Several anonymous officials announced that bombs had been placed inside the Jets, destroying them upon detonation. They added that amongst the 15 that had been sabotaged only 2 of the explosive devices exploded.
After a thorough security review, the airport authorities deemed the premises secured enough to return to a normal level of activities.
