In an incredible twist of events, which it seems only can take place in Yemen, thugs loyal to the regime have been seen demonstrated in Sana'a, the Yemeni capital as they claim they did not receive adequate monetary compensation from the government for their services.
Human right groups such as HOOD in Yemen have been decrying the thugs' illegal harassing of peaceful protesters for months now, decrying their brutal and often lethal repressive methods.
Only yesterday, residents and shopkeepers in Tahrir accused them of looting several shops, making their escape with generators worth several hundreds of dollars and other goods.
Residents and protesters alike in Sana'a were to say the least bewildered at such an extraordinary show, wondering where the thugs found the nerves to stage such a protest, given the circumstances.
"I don't know whether to cry or laugh! Have Yemeni stoop so low that criminals dare now protest? Is there anything sacred anymore, any shame at all left in this country," said Ahmed Haddad a Yemeni-Lebanese doctor.
