Residents in Jaar, a city of the southern province of Abyan which has been for several months now under the control of a terror group allegedly linked to al-Qaeda in Yemen, reported another government airstrike today, in which 10 "Ansar al Sharia" militants were killed.
Despite earlier governmental claims that the province was once again under the regime's control, al-Qaeda fighters have continuously rebuffed the Yemeni army advances, remaining in control of many towns and villages throughout the region.
Further clashes also took place in Zinjibar, the regional capital, which so far has had to ensue most of the fighting.
Military sources reported the death of 3 terror militants and 4 soldiers.
