A teenager was killed when four explosions rocked Yemen’s business capital Aden late on Wednesday. There were conflicting reports about how Lutfi Al-Hujaily, 14, died.
According to alsahwa-yemen.net, Al-Hujaily was killed when the police fired live bullets to disperse the people who rushed to the scene when the first bombing went off at the public security compound in Al-Mansoura district.
The website also quoted other sources as saying that he was killed in an exchange of gunfire between the police and gunmen.
Ten minutes afterwards, a second explosion occurred at the political security office in the district but no casualties were reported.
It also quoted eyewitnesses as saying that a third explosion was heard in Al-Arish district and hours after the first bombings, a fourth explosion targeted the public security office in Al-Mualla district. No casualties were reported in the two attacks.
The incidents came after the local council met and discussed the security situation in Aden.
Insecurity has been reported in most parts of the south amid continuous unrest and assassinations targeting military and security officers, vehicles and offices.
