A civilian was killed and at least 15 others injured in a bomb explosion in Yemen’s Dhamar province on Wednesday, newsyemen.net reported.

The incident took place at a crowded market in the city of Mabar, it quoted eyewitnesses as saying.

An investigation is underway into the explosion, it said.         

Separately, the website said reported that the Coastguard had arrested 184 Eritreans while trying to enter Yemen illegally.

The Africans tried to infiltrate into Yemen onboard fishing boats, it said, adding that they were deported to their country.

Yemen, which has been gripped by seven-month unrest, continues to receive African refugees, mostly from African horn countries such as Somalia. Recent statistics estimated the Africans who have arrived in the country at more than one million people.
