At least twelve people were killed and eight others injured when two suicide bombers blew themesleves up in two different districts of Yemen's southern Abyan province.
The killed were pro government tribesmen who have been fighting suspected al-Qaeda militants since mid July.
The first attack, in Modiyah district, killed five while the second killed seven fighters in Ma’akoob district, Abyan.
At least eight others were injured in the attacks.
“The bomber attended a small gathering normally and then suddenly blew himself up,” said a tribal fighter in Abyan.
He said that the bomber was normal and shaking hands with those he wanted to attack before he blew up himself.
The second bomber was driving past his victims and when coming near, he detonated himself.
It’s the first time that suicide bombers attack Abyan since extremist groups took over the province in May.
