One person was killed and three others injured in a suicide attack that targeted a medical center in Yemen’s Jawf province on Sunday.
The Houthi office was quoted by newsyemen.net as saying that an explosive-laden care had been detonated by a suicide bomber at the gate of the center located in Al-Matama district at 10:15 pm.
The office accused the United States of America of involvement in the incident that came days after the Houthi Group and the Islah Party reached a ceasefire agreement ending month-long fighting in the province, the website said.
“The operation proved there had been intensive planning and plotting to carry out it by the U.S., a western country targeting Yemen in general and the northern areas in particular,” the office was quoted as saying.
Sheikh Hussein Abu Hadra, a Houthi official, said the attack marked a new series of violence in Jawf, at a time when protests and severe crises are continuing across the country.
The Houthi Group and the Islah Party, one of the main parties within the Joint Meeting Parties, the main opposition bloc, signed days ago an eight-term ceasefire that called for withdrawing all fighters from their positions.
It also provided that the first armored division, which the announced peaceful support to the youth-led uprising, will send troops to take charge of military camps and preserve security in the province.
After the signing, the opposition named a governor for the province from the Islah Party.
