Russia announced on Thursday a thousand tones of wheat in aid to Yemen which has been experiencing unrest-caused crises, Saba reported.
The aid will arrive at Hodeida port next Sunday will be sent through the Russian Emergency Department.
Saba quoted a statement by the Russian embassy in Sana'a as saying that the aid comes under a memorandum of understanding between the Russian Federation and the UN World Food Programme.
Yemen is currently severe crises topped by an acute fuel shortage and continuous protests as well as military operations against Islamists in the southern Abyan province and armed tribesmen in Taiz and northern areas.
