The US ambassador to Yemen, Gerald Feierstein, met with the opposition Joint Meeting Parties yesterday, Yemen's biggest opposition coalition, and confirmed to them that President Saleh will not be arriving to Yemen anytime soon. The meeting took place with the presence of US ambassador, British ambassador, and the EU ambassador to Yemen.

"The ambassador told the (JMP) to cooperate with the vice president and the ruling party. He said we must understand that President Saleh will not come back to Yemen, anytime soon."

"The US ambassador assured that its in the best interest of the United States that Yemen is stable."
