At least four people, including two soldiers were killed in Yemen's southern province of Al-Baitha and several others wounded.
Yemen's Interior Ministry confirmed that two of the killed were soldiers, while eight others were wounded, when suspected Al-Qaeda militants ambushed soldiers belonging to republican guards who were on their way to capture outlaws in Al-Sowdia district in the province. Two tribesmen were killed, while no Al-Qaeda members were reported killed.
According to the Interior Ministry, Al-Qaeda is trying to expand in different regions in the country, using the lack of security in numerous provinces for its favor.
