According to eyewitnesses, central security forces and the republican guards arrested tens of protesters near change square in Sanaa.
"Saleh's criminals arrested many of our youth and put them in big trucks and in large numbers," said Murad Sofan, a youth activist.
As the injured were being treated from the night attack and arrest growing protesters continued chanting anti government chants. "Your oppression will only make us stronger," was repeated by the protesters.
The youth organizing committee at change square called on the intonational community an the Arab League to save them from Saleh's regime. "We call the Arab league and the international community to stop this bloody regime from killing protesters in Yemen," said the committee.
"The injured were shot in the head and this is a clear human rights violation against peaceful protesters," the committee added.
