More than six hundred thousand anti-government protesters took to the streets in Yemen's southern province of Taiz early morning demanding the immediate ouster for the embattled Yemen's president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Eyewitnesses said that the protesters condemned the use of force against peaceful demonstrators in all Yemen's province and they accused the governor of Taiz, Hamod Al-Sofi, and the head of security Abdullah Qairan for the massacres against protesters in Taiz over the last three days. "The governor and head of security must be held accountable for the crimes they committed and the blood they spilled," said youth activist Bushra Maktari. "Very soon our time will come."
At the march, tens of thousands of women and children participated in an effort by protesters to convince security forces that they want peaceful change. "We bring along our wives and children only to prove to security forces that we want peace an not violence," said Mustafa Ali, a father of six who marched with his kids and wife next to him.
In Aden, six youth protesters were arrested hours ago by security forces in Yemen's southern port of Aden. The protesters were prepared to organize a rally in Aden province stared from Ba Kather School according to a security official in Aden.
Over the last four days, a civil disobedience has been continuing in the province by youth protesters to disable all government offices in Aden.
