Central security forces and anti riot police attacked protesters on Zubairy St. of the capital Sanaa injuring more than 55 protesters using batons and rocks. An ambulance trying to take the injured to the hospital had its windows broken. More than 40000 participated in the march which was dispersed by security forces.
Abdullah Salem, a youth activist at the march said, "the government forces are killing us. Saleh and his militia will not succeed and every blood spilt will be accounted for in international courts."
In Taiz, one more was killed in a new attack live bullets were shot at anti regime protesters marching in the city according to the Change Square medical team in Taiz. Since morning, more than 45 in Taiz have been injured by bullet wounds and more than 500 by gas inhalation. Two have been killed in the province today.
To ease tension in Taiz, President Saleh dismissed the head of security in Taiz General Abdullah Qairan.
Qairan is blamed by the youth to be behind all the attacks in Taiz. He has only been the head of security in Taiz for three weeks, while his previous post was head of security in Aden.
We called Qiaran and he said, "Security forces did not attack protesters. We were dispersing pro and anti government protesters after we saw that both sides were clashing."
"I deny any accusations of security forces attacking protesters or shooting directly at them.
In Hodieda, marches are now continuous with more than 30000 near the presidential palace according to eyewitnesses.
