At least three protesters were wounded, one of them in critical condition, in clashes between pro and anti-government protesters in Yemen's northern province of Amran.
Eyewitnesses said that armed men fired live bullets toward protesters who continued their sit-in in Al-Thowra square for the third consecutive day demanding the fall of Saleh’s regime. Source told the Yemen Post that a senior member of the ruling General People Congress party joined protesters demanding the resignation of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
A state source said that at least four people were wounded when protesters from the opposition, Joint Meeting Parties, JMP, fired toward protesters from the ruling party.
