Tens of activists, journalists and MPs marched in Yemen's capital Sana'a on Saturday in solidarity with the Egyptian people holding massive protests demanding Egypt's President Mubarak to leave office.
The protestors gathered early today at the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate and wanted to reach the Egyptian embassy in Jamal Street, but police prevented them.
They chanted slogans in support of the struggling Egyptian people and anti-Yemeni government slogans including those urging the removal of President Saleh.
Some media outlets reported that other protesters chanting slogans in favor of the regime including some supporting President Saleh attacked the pro-Egyptians protestors.
Tens of riot police lined up at the entrances of Jamal Street preventing the people from passing through the street.
Inspired by the revolution that forced Tunisia's President out of office and out of the country this month, many protests have been organized in Yemeni cities demanding changes and the removal of President Saleh.
