President Saleh Dismisses Industry and Trade Minister

President Ali Abduallh Saleh dismissed on Saturday the Yemen's Industry and Trade Minister, Yahya Al-Mutawakil.
A new decree was issued appointing Hisham Sharaf, a Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation as a new Minister of Industry and Trade.
No reason was given for the dismissal.
On January 12, Saleh suspended Minister for Oil and Minerals Amir Salim Al-Aidrous and Executive Director of the Yemen Petroleum Company Omer Al-Arhabi over a fuel shortage which forced people to queue at petrol stations.
