The Joint Meeting Parties JMP welcomed on Tuesday the initiative taken by a member of the General Committee of the General People's Congress, Mohammed Abu Lohom to resolve the current political crisis with the ruling party.
JMP spokesman, Mohamed Al-Gubati said that the initiative was very close to the JMP's common vision but said it has not been accepted officially to this moment.
However Mohamed Abdulmalik Al-Mutawakel, a prominent opposition JMP leader confirmed the receipt of the Abu Lhum's initiative, considering it as a forward step to solve the current crisis.
He further said once individual procedures recently approved by the ruling party including the formation of the Election Commission, the adoption of the electoral law and the constitutional amendments were solved, dialogue would find a save haven.
"The Preparatory Commission for the Dialogue will hold a meeting today to discuss the provisions of the initiative and respond to it formally," Al-Mutawakel said.
Abu Lohom's initiative, submitted yesterday to solve the current crisis between the ruling party and the opposition parties, included five-pointsmostly the postponement of the parliamentary elections supposed to be held next April and theformation of a coalition government.
