Families of the prisoners who were arrested in connection with the war on the rebellion in northern Yemen started on Sunday a hunger strike demanding to release their relatives soon.
They held their protest at the political security prison in capital Sana'a, almost a week after they delivered a letter to the authorities in which they urged to release the prisoners and vowed to continue their protest and start a hunger strike.
The families also said their relatives had been abused at jail, urging an investigation into all illegal acts against the detainees including denying them access to medications and winter clothes.
No official comments were made on the claims.
