President Saleh ordered on Tuesday that the supreme commission for election and referendum should be formed this time from judges, approving a proposal previously submitted by the opposition.
In his address to the nation on November 30 Day, he said it is better to elect judges for the commission and that no political party has representation in it.
The decision comes upon the request of the opposition which we hope would participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections, he said.
The elections must be held on time with all political forces, without exception, participating, and the dialogue should continue to build understanding among all political forces in the best interest of the country, he urged.
Democracy is a means, not an end, said Saleh, as he added:" those who insist on boycotting the elections should act within the bounds of democracy." "Anyone in Yemen has the right and is free to boycott, but this should take place democratically."
The separatists are 'mad dogs', and the Yemeni people are for the national unity and ready for defending it and achievements under it, he said.
"Shame on you, the separatists. You should not speak about the south and secessionism. It is impossible to divide Yemen again, and there is not a guardian of the south or north. Nobody should speak about separatism, because the unity must be endless."
