In a press release on Sunday, the Joint Meting Party JMP said that the declaration made by General People's congress GPC, the ruling party; to stop the national dialogue with the opposition parties, was a foolish and non-official choice.
The ruling party intended to blackmail the opposition to agree to reset the counter, they said, adding that the GPC did not abide by what has been agreed on to create safe environment for free and fair elections.
They, also, said that security forces should be held responsible for security imbalances throughout the country.
Regional analysts said that despite along term negotiations, President Saleh's General People's Congress (GPC) was unable to find common ground on the holding of scheduled parliamentary elections next year.
GPC's choice to hold elections alone is a failure to agree on the reform of electoral procedures and institutions, they said.
They, further, said that once a dialogue between the JMP and the GPC took place again and with the JMP's focus firmly on the GPC-controlled Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendums, the parliamentary term might be extended again to 2013.
