Al Qaeda denied claims that it was responsible for the bombing of a Wahda Sports Club in the province of Aden two weeks ago, which resulted in the death of three people and several civilians injured.
A statement issued by al-Qaeda said: "We in Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula deny responsibility for this process, and declare that we have no relation to it from close or far."
The statement emphasized that they only target "criminals from the Americans and the crusaders and their followers from the security forces and intelligence officers," and accused the media for promoting the crusader alliance propaganda to distort the reputation of the Mujahideen."
