A manhunt for those behind the plot to blow up U.S.-bound cargo planes has been continuing by the security since late on Sunday as soon as Hanan Al-Samawi was released, an official at the Interior Ministry told the Yemen Post.

Security forces together with intelligence were set out to Maarib and Shabwa to find Ibrahim Al-Asiri, who was believed to be linked to the parcel plot, the source said.

A large group of security forces had been searching different parts of the two provinces and was working to close up off some areas, according to the same source.

Al-Asiri is believed to be hiding and moving with his affiliate Nasser Al-Wahayshi- Al-Qaeda senior element.
